Welcome to the home of Bhavnagar Ophthalmological Society. Bhavnagar city is the cultural capital of Gujarat State, a vibrant, colorful city, 180 km to the south of Ahmedabad, located in heart of Saurashtara.

It is an important center for trade and commerce. It is well connected by roads and broad – gauge railway to all important centers of Gujarat and India. It is well connected with Mumbai by two daily flights.

The modern incarnation of Bhavnagar Ophthalmological Society came in to existence in 1993 when it was the proud host of Gujarat State Annual Conference.

Ophthalmology is progressing leaps and bounds in Bhavnagar with more than 30 Ophthalmologist and a Post Graduate Training Center at the Medical College – Bhavnagar. Today most of the modern amenities like Phacoemulsifications, Retinal Lasers, Excimer Lasers, DCR Lasers are available in the city.

I am sure that this interactive website will be another feather in the cap of the Bhavnagar Ophthalmological Society.
